  1. Thanks krlenjushka for your help. I couldn't answer before (internet problems). So with this method I'm not altering the original data, am I? I'm just saving it in a different file.
  2. Sorry for the ******** question but I've read the FAQ and didn't find anything. Also, I didn't see any quick questions thread as there are in other forums. With that disclaimer aside... how do I edit the "normal" competitions in the game? :o From what I understand I can create XML files with my custom things, but I don't know how they'll interact in the game with what already is set. For example: if I want a new award called "Awesomest Player Ever" I can create it in the editor, but I'd have to delete de Ballon D'Or award from the game. An easier way would be to just edit the regular award in the first place. If that's not possible then, how do I delete the regular one? I hope I explained myself, I'm just a total noob to this.
  3. What do the assignments new talent and known talent do? What's the difference between them? I assume it has to do with young players? Also, if that's the case what's the difference between those two and a regular assignment with the conditions set to less than 17 years old for example? Probably a dumb question but used the search and didn't find it.
  4. Sorry if this has already been questioned. I was trying to search it but didn't find it. Can a player tutor more than one player at a time? If so what is the maximum number? Thanks in advance!
  5. Yes, on the latest patch. I just ended the second season. The second one wasn't as succesful as the first but nothing to do with the patch (I keep having a lot of shots and possession the majority of the games) but more with me selling Ronaldo at half the season and starting a lot of inexperienced young players. I think it depends on the players you have. I think for Real this tactic is great, but maybe for a relegation team with no creative players they would struggle. If I have time I'll upload some screenshots later.
  6. Hi. Probably being already asked: - Is there any way to practice with the match engine? A quick mode where you select a team, create a tactic with the TC, set the shouts, ois etc. and play a game against any other team. That way you keep playing and playing and playing until you master the ME, the different tactical aspects, shouts etc. I could create new games constantly but the tactic familiarity being low would ruin the experience. -If such a mode doesn't exist, what's the best way to experience with tactics and the ME? The main problem is that of familiarity (till october-november) you don't get it to 100%
  7. http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/343043-Ajax-Youth-Development-%E2%80%93-When-The-Real-World-Meets-Football-Manager You have it perfectly explained there.
  8. Thanks Eugene, great work. @ajoobah It stoped working because SI updated FM today. Just have to wait a little bit till Eugene releases a new version.
  9. Ah, sorry for not reporting. Second season with Real Madrid and I find this tactic is tailor suited to that team. The only change I did was mirroring it to the left to adapt it to Marcelo as WB. For the rest, a lot possession of the ball, a lot of shots arond 20 per game more or less, the opposition almost none. Overall very good tactic, thanks for sharing.
  10. First of all: congratulations Cleon. This is a wonderful thread. I always scratched my head around tactics but this approach is one I can understand perfectly. I've been reading this for two days from beginning to end and needless to say it's bookmarked. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction regarding a scout strategy/guide via a link to another thread or site where this is explained (I'm so noob in this regard) as Cleon seems to be too busy to put his own. Anyway, thank you to Cleon and to all who contributed. And a little question to finish: How do you think the role specific training fits with a very fluid, attacking football philosophy where supposedly all the players can do a lot of different things?

  12. Hi. I'm experiencing a strange bug. When I do individual team talks to my players, what I say to one player affects the one I talked to previously and on and on. So for example if I'm Real Madrid and talk to Casillas, Alonso and Ronaldo and I say to Casillas I'm not happy with your performance and then say to Alonso well done and then to Ronaldo I'm not happy with your performance... Casillas gets the well done, Alonso gets the I'm not happy and Ronaldo gets nothing... Anybody else noticed this? Is there any workaround? My players are getting confused.
