Given that Gijon was taken over by Grupo Orlegi, would it make sense that their other two clubs in Mexico (Santos Laguna, Atlas) be listed as affiliates?
They have already loaned in Carrillo from Santos for zero wage and loaned in or signed two other former Santos players (Otero, Izquierdoz,)jor so it's reasonable to assume that there's some overlap in scouting network. Additionally, before the purchase, the Orlegi chairman gave an interview about trying to replicate the multi-club model by bringing in a team in Europe.
