Nick Buxton - GK - 3 apps last season. Transfer listed.

Grant Black - DR - 3 apps. could be back in 1st team soon.

Mark Haran - DRC - 29 apps last season, surprised hes in the reserves.

Scott Willis - DM - 7 apps last season, did not impress and will need to improve.

Neil Gorman - MRC - Close season signing from Airbus

Jordan Burke - MC - Transfer listed and expected to leave club soon.

Andy Haskins - MC - 9 apps in 2 seasons.

Kevin Parr - MC - Has made over 100 apps for club.

Chris Price - MC - Disappointed to be in reserves will be looking to improve following average season last time.

Steve Smith - AMRL - Over 30 apps since move from Huddersfield.

Lee Ellington - AM FC - 9 goals last season, new arrivals forcing him into reserves will figure in 1st team soon.

Lee Mulvaney - ST - 5 goals will be looking to get into first team.

Hucknall 2 Stalybridge 0 (Attendance 244)

Welcome to English football Slobadan Zitface. Hucknall showed Slobadan what a difficult year things may be at Bower Fold.

The 7 minute dismissal of defender Darren Hockenhull turned this tie as 10 men Stalybridge were unable to contain their hosts.

Former Welsh U21 striker Matty Wulliams nets the 23 minute opener with Robert Gill striking in the first minute following the restart. Stalybride did contain the hosts throughout the rest of the match and kept the margin to 2-0/

Jamie Kay picks up a slight knock and may miss a couple of games.

Stalybridge 4 Burton 2 (Attendance 333)

Slobadan Zitface makes no less than 5 changes to the team that lost away at Hucknall. Burton fans are still upset over their relegation and were hoping for a good performance.

Zitface was forced to make 2 changes with the suspension of Hockenhull and the injury to kay.

An opening minute strike from David Graham set Stalybrdge on their way however it was Burton who lead up until the 66th minutes with 2 fine goals from Jon Law. Disaster then struck for the visitors as Graham adds his second, Binnion puts through his own net, then gets sent off and Gilroy misses a penalty. Ben Sanders adds Stalybridge's 4th on the final whistle.

Hednesford 3 Stalybridge 3 (Attendance 315)

A hat-trick from David Graham was not enough to earn Stevenage all 3 points this afternoon.

Graham scored the opening goal of the afternoon at the beginning of a goal feast second half. Young Mitchel Hansen puts through his own net to level the scores. Another youngster this time Australian striker Rhys Williams puts the host's ahead on 64 minutes scoring his first goal in Britain.

Graham then nets two goals within 5 minutes to put the visitors back in front with 15 minutes remaining. Paul Szewczyk levels on 82.

Controversy surrounds the ref's decision on 90 minutes when Sedgemore was penalised for a trip on Gilligan. Justice was done when Norton saves the penalty which was directed straight at him.

Stalybridge 1 Nuneaton 1 (Attendance 374)

The hosts stun Nuneaton with solitary 1-0 home win in wet and windy conditions.

Slobadan Zitface looks to have settled into the team as Stalybridge appear organised and pass the ball nicely around the park.

Jake Sedgemore was carried off after 7 minutes following a clash of heads and will likely miss a couple of games. Mark Atkins brought on as his replacement.

Nuneaton outplayed their hosts for long periods of the game having 14 shots compared to their opponents 5. (Although the Stalybridge goalie was only tested once).

In form David Graham nets his 6th goal in 4 appearances to earn Stalybridge the 3 points.

Northwich 2 Stalybridge 2 (Attendance 793)

Jake Sedgemore recovers from concussion and retains his position in the Stalybridge line up. Slobadan Zitface names 1 change Mark Atkins brought on the right midfield and Graham Deakin drops to the bench.

David Graham maintains his scoring form with a well placed shot n 21 minutes, to take the visitors in a 1-0 lead at half time.

Northwich start the second half the most lively with Johnny Allen scoring on 53. Ben Mackay makes it 2-1 to Northwich on 72 minutes.

Stalybridge staring defeat in the face continue to push forward and are rewarded with a goal from Saunders on 85 minutes.

Slobadan takes time with his substitutions and brings on Deakin and Hay for Atkins and Graham in the 86th minute.

"We were lucky with the result" was a comment from a key member of the squad.
