Centre Backs are asleep

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow managers,

I am having a hard time managing West Bromich, and to make things even worse strikers dribble past my DCs as if nobody was ever there? Since my team manages to score some goal every now and then my main concern is the defence. Can any of you give me some advice on my DCs or their settings?

These are the settings which apply to them:

I play with Meité and Ryan Donk/Barnett or Chus Herrero.

Maybe their concentration is too low (both have 14)? They have 17 and 15 for marking respectively.

I have Chus Herrero in my Albacete and my def looks really good.

Just take a look on mine screens:

I used to play "deeper" defender behind my DM and the one with higher closing down behind my playmaker. If u notice that your defender is late with tackling just push up your defensive line slightly. The faster defender play as deeper, he should have high agility to keep striker as long as he can far from goal (and w8 for DM/full back to take ball from attacker). I never put my defenders to play one on one because it doesn't seems to work, strikers are almost all the time faster, so there is no point to do that.
