Non League to Legend FM24 - Inspired by Lollujo

Recommended Posts

So I I've been playing FM since 2010,  as an avid Crystal Palace fan they are my normal go to, but having recently moved north of the border to the Highlands of Scotland, I thought why not.  so with the Data base loaded we are starting with Elgin City, now its not the closest to my house near Fort William, that would be Clyde,  but they are in the highlands and predicted to finish rock bottom. so Challenge accepted.

I plan to up date this as a means of accountability. Wish me luck.

With a media prediction of 10th, a budget of £5000 and a wage budget of £3439 rock bottom is the feel so anything above that needs to be the aim.

the Club boast 18 North of Scotland cups, 15 Highland Football league trophies and 5 Highland league cups were not afraid of silver-wear even if it is lower league.

im going with a 433 formation with a pressing forward up top.  we shall see how it pans out.

Wanting my Left wing to add width an and the Mezz playing the left channel, Centre will be filled by the Box to Box, and the right side channel the IF with push into and Right flank by an Attacking WB.  leaving 3 at the back with the Left IFB and just in front the BWM.   defensively we drop in to a 4 at the back and the Pressing forward starting an early press.

My first competitive match saw me run out in the Viaplay cup, Drawn in a group with Ross county (Cinch Premier) Dunfermline Athletic (Cinch 1st) Raith Rovers (Cinch Championship) and Kelty Hearts (Clinch 1st).  So we are the group whipping boys.   First up saw a 2-2 Draw with Dunfermline away and a win on Penalties.  I could not have asked for more.

with a 1/4 of the season done, I would say I've had a start I couldn't have ever wished for.  Expected to be 10th we sit comfortably top and but a good margin.

our Cup runs have also been good reaching the third round of SPFL trust trophy to lose on a late goal and then penalties to Championship side Dundee Utd.  This has improved our finances from a starting balance of a little over 200k to a whopping 320k. This bodes well if we can keep it up.
