In the end it wasnt so bad as we finished 13th, which was kinda of undeserved but I'll take it. Star Player Miguel Larsson - He scored 20 goals in 30 appearances, safe to say we would of been relegated without his goals. Next Season This season was pretty good for a semi-professional team, hopefully we can finish around the same spot without been in danger of relegation. Next Season Really dont want to be involved in any sort of relegation battle, it would be nice if the board would turn us professional but apparently we cant afford it. Star Player Diego - Scored 23 goals in 25 appearances, really stood out above the rest of the team. Next Season We had a great season so hopefully we can build on this. We ended up in the relegation play-off, we managed to get 3 away goals in the first leg which was brilliant and then we comfortably won 3-1 in the second leg. Star Player Miguel Larsson - He was obviously upset losing his place to Diego last season and had a point to prove, and he proved it well scoring 22 goals. Next Season If we play like we did in the first half of the season we should finish in the top 10, fingers crossed we dont have another horrendous dip. Star Player Miguel Larsson - Another good season from our brilliant half Spanish half Swedish striker, came up with 24 goals. Next Season Another season like this would be acceptable. Surprisingly we couldnt keep up our title challenge and fell away very quickly and ended up in 9th, which was amazing. Copa RFEF - I dont know why we were in this but finally we were in a cup and looked to cause a few cupsets, which we did. We wernt expected to make it far but we got all the way to the semi-final, but Lugo dispatched of us easily but we could be proud of our achievements. Star Player Jeser Vega - Although he wasnt really the best, I still went for him due to his age and potential, I hope he becomes a very big player for us. This season wasn't good at all, I knew not to expect the same as last season but I didn't think it would be this bad, we were in the relegation battle nearly all year before just managing to pull out of it in the last few matches. Copa del Rey - Was interesting to be in this, I hoped to have a little run and draw a big team but we were unfortunately knocked out in the first round. Copa RFEF - Was exciting to be in this again, and we were looking to go on another little run which we did, we were put up against some tough teams but we overcame them to make our first final ever. We couldnt of got a tougher final against Barcelona B, we did very well in the first leg getting an away goal but in the second leg we just couldnt make the breakthrough and Barca B went and got a late goal to win the cup. Star Player Miguel Larsson - There was no real star player this year so I picked Miguel Larsson because he scored a few vital goals for us. Next Season We have to be much, much better in the league. We won the first leg at home 1-0 so it was nervy going into the second leg, Logrones managed to get 2 goal in the first 30 minutes which ment we needed to get 2 goals, we got 1 just on half time and in the second half we ran the show and got 2 goals to keep us up. Star Player Miguel Larsson - Even though we had a bad season he stood out once again, im surprised no other teams have come in and offered him better deals than we can offer. Since we finished 9th we should be back in the Copa del Rey next year, hopefully. Star Player Miguel Larsson - He may be getting on a bit in terms of age but he is still scoring for fun. PocketMouse Posted February 14, 2014 Author Share Posted February 14, 2014 Villa Santa Brígida - Segunda División B Grupo 1 - 2023/24 Squad Tansfers Segunda División B Grupo 1 - 8th Fixtures 1 - Fixtures 2 Positions Graph Copa del Rey - Fourth Round Segunda División B Grupo 1 - This was a very good season for us, we even managed to climb up to the top 3 in the middle of the season, we didnt manage to stay there but we ended up in 8th which was pretty good. Copa del Rey - We hoped for a cup run and we got one, first 2 rounds went easy enough but we struggled against Escobedo but we eventually came through on penalties. We were then handed a dream draw against Barcelona in the Fourth Round, the first leg was at home and we put in a good display and only lost by 2 goals. The second leg in the Camp Nou was an interesting one, in front of 30,750 fans we actually took the lead and we were beating Barcelona for about 20 minutes, but obviously then they turned on the style and hammered us 5-1 but for those 20 minutes we were on top of the world. Star Player Diego Benito - He was brilliant in midfield, didnt think he had the legs for it but he proved me wrong. I thought we were going to finish higher but a slight slump at the end of the season moved us down a few places but overall it was a promising season. Copa del Rey - I was hoping for another cup run and draw a big team and it looked like we would get that but Huesca were just too strong for us and eliminated us. Star Player Jesús Ruymán Torres - He absolutely ran the show and at 19 he has a huge future in front of him. Next Season More of the same, and hopefully a better cup run. Thankfully our form in the second half of the season picked up and we pulled ourselves out of the relegation zone and upto our favorite position of 13th. Copa del Rey - The first 2 rounds were routine enough but we got a tough draw against Cadiz, even though we lost 5-2 afterextratime, we played really well and were quite unlucky to get knocked out. Star Player Abel Culebras - He was ever present all season and scored a good few goals. Next Season Will be aiming to finish higher than 13th anyway. The final third of the season we just managed to get out of the relegation places and we finished 15th only 2 points ahead of a playoff spot. Star Player Abel Culebras - Once again he was ever present and scored a good few goals, he wasnt as good as last season but still done well. Going into the last day we were behind Ferrol on goal difference, we managed to beat Vecindario 3-1 and Ferrol lost 2-1 to Guadalajara so we managed to move up to the play off spot so safety wasnt guaranteed yet. We were put against Izarra and beat them easily 7-2 on aggregate. Copa RFEF - We had a good record in this before so I was looking forward to it and hoping for a good run. In the first leg against Melilla we did managed to get an away goal but we lost by 3 goals so it was always going to be tough in the second leg and unfortunataly Melilla managed to get an away goal for themselves, we won 2-1 but it wasnt good enough. Star Player Abel Culebras - He was our stand out player, as usual, mainly down to his goals. Next Season This season was too close, really have to start improving again. Star Player Abel Culebras - Yeah its him again, he just scores for fun. We would of went down a few years ago if it wasnt for him. Next Season Really need to turn around the last few years decline. Thankfully we had the easiest of matches against already relegated Ferrol, we won 3-0 and Las Palmas Atlético and Ourense lost so we actually jumped out of the relegation zone and we even missed out on the play off spot. Star Player Abel Culebras - He wasnt as good as he has been other seasons but he was still our star player. There was a lot of luck involved, I didnt really think we deserved to finish 6th but I wont complain about it. Star Player Elvis Bong - Strange name but an amazing footballer for a 17 year old, hopefully we can hold onto him. We slowly climbed the table over most the season but we wernt good enough in the last third of the season, we had a few to many draws, and we slid down. Copa del Rey - I was very excited to be back in this after a few years, we got a very hard draw against Gimnàstic and very surprisingly we managed to beat them comfortably. The next round brought a easier draw, against Guadalajara but unfortunately we were knocked out by a own goal. Star Player Emilio José Bell - Scored loads of goals, which is good from a winger, he was always causing other teams trouble. Next Season A small climb in the table would be good. The second half of the season we wernt as good, we struggled a bit and fell down the table and ended up in 12th (again). Star Player Elvis Bong - What a player! He even managed to get called up to Cameroons national team which is just crazy, with his contract to run out next summer and a good few top division teams after him we might have to cash in on him. We were brilliant all season and were in the top 4 almost all season, we reached first early enough in the season and dropped away quickly but once we got back there we stayed there and went on to win the league, our first ever trophy. Sadly though because of Spains silly promotion system we went into a play off semi final, where we got hammered by Cádiz but we were handed another chance at promotion by being put into the second phase play off but despite a good win in the first leg we were well beaten at home so there would be no promotion this year. Star Player Fran Perez - Brilliant first season from the winger, managed to assist 25 goals and even chipped in with 12 of his own.
