SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted February 6, 2007 SI Staff Share Posted February 6, 2007 Looks reasonable enough - I personally tend to be a bit lighter on the individual instructions if not using a 'top team' and I'd recommend playing an offside trap if your defenders are up to it and you're playing against an opposition with faster strikers than your defenders. I also tend to do 'normal' tackling for every one apart from MC's - thought being that I like to dominate the midfield but would prefer to minimise the risk of bringing people down in the box (or my strikers getting needless cards - they get enough for diving thanks all the same ). NB> This style suits my current team down to the ground - but imho its best to tailor the detail of a tactic to suit your players and not attempt to force players to play your preferred tactic (at least in the short term, over time you can always buy in the right players for how you want to play) ... if you're a small club you might find yourself playing a non-preferred tactic for quite a while simply because of the players you have available.
