trekkie_ram
On a seperate note, I don't like playing FA Cup Round 3 ties on a wednesday, I cannot recall this ever happening IRL, yet it happens frequently in FM09. I seem to recall once playing an FA Cup Round 3 tie in December. Again, I would like this to be rectified, but not if it sends the game wacko in 20 seasons time. Misodoctakleidist
It is an exact loop apart from when there are matches that have been rearranged or postponed Wrong. I've already posted a list of FM fixtures which contradicts this.
trekkie_ram
I'm with Misodoctakleidist on this, I just checked fixture lists on Season 1 at the start of the season, and although it is almost a copy, they have flipped several teams. Still not what happens in real life, but mixes the first half and second half orders slightly. Edit: Although this is probably only done because you cannot play yourself and the list needs to reset at some point.
Wullie
Maybe this link will help to understand how fixtures are generated in real life - now way in hell would SI fancy trying to recreate this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html
