    Since the update if i try to load a save that was started before the update i get an error message - "The save game could not be loaded"

     

    However, new saves do load.

    That's quite unbeliveable from a company like SI to publish update that ruins everybody's save. I'd be curious to know how Quality Assurance works and what kind of test was done before publishing the update... I guess load a game is quite simple to test before publishing it. I started a new game out of frustration, but I'll think twice before buying the next year's game :( This issue will defenitely leaves a mark on many people.

    yes it's big nonsense. I've been playing this game since 2004 and never had this kind of big problem. if it is not fixed within a few days I uninstall and I stop with this license. already more than 3 weeks who we seriously don't care..

    At this stage it's ridiculous. I don't actually believe it's being investigated anymore and they're just hoping people will stop complaining. Completely ignoring my tickets sent to them and radio silence on social media. So poor from a company I did, before this shambles, enjoy.

    Yes I think the same they think that Switch users are not important so they let the problem sink in saying that we will eventually stop complaining. I'm sure if this had concerned PC gamers they would have found a solution by now.

    Hi @Zachary Whyte thanks for replying. Is it not possible for you to allow us to remove the previous update so we can just play our save games? I'm too into my old save and not interested in starting again because SI couldn't be bothered test their product before release (twice!!!).

    This was beyond a joke as this was first raised weeks ago probably another a month now, they think it’s ok to come on here every couple of weeks and say investigating issue. Not good enough, I think it’s beyond the point now when communication should be going out about refunds as the vast majority were enjoying a saved game that’s no longer playable and there’s no sign of a solution. After years playing fm and first try on non pc version doesn’t give much hope does it…

    Also having this issue. Thought it would go away if I replayed a season from the previous available save but the same thing happened. This is really frustrating that the game is basically unplayable. I don't want to try again and replay a season or two just to see it wasted again.

    same here...now i have 2 save games that can't be load.

    It's been going on for 20 days and the more the days pass the more the silence of the developers is deafening. Always a message from time to time to say "we're working on the problem again, sorry" but it can't last forever. You have specialists I imagine this is pretty easy to fix so please act fast now guys

    Hello, we've now released a minor update. The update addresses the issue with pre-existing saves following the release of our Main Data Update 23.3.

    We understand this has been incredibly frustrating for those users affected by the issue and we want to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience whist we investigated.

    The update should download automatically, but you can also manually check for updates on your Nintendo Switch.
