  • Direct free kicks nerfed to insanity on this patch??!

    Hi. It has come to my attention after playing a few seasons on this patch that it seems virtually impossible to score a direct free kick on this current matchengine.

    I have had decent free kick takers on a updated database where I signed Daichi Kamada on my hertha berlin save and even in second bundesliga with around i think 14 free kick taking 14 longshots I dont even remember him scoring a single direct free kick.

    We were promoted to the bundesliga and I loaned in szaboslai with 16 free kicks 16 longshots and halfway through the season I still dont recall even one goal (if it was a goal from a direct free kick must have been in cups not in league).

    I have had conversations with a few lads on twitch and many people concurred my point..

    Would there be some kind of work on this patch to address this issue as clearly it is unrealistic to have a good set piece taker not being able to score any kind of significant amount of free kicks ?

    By the way on my friend zlatko vujevic's save I think he showed the statistic where towards the end of the season (like april) only arsenal had more than 1 Directfreekick goal in the season ( they had 4) and the rest of the teams on 1 and 0 goals (there were SEVERAL clubs with 0 direct free kick goals almost the WHOLE season.)

    There were no match engine changes on the most recent patch whatsoever I'm afraid to say. Across the entirety of FM games played, we're happy with the amount of FK's being scored.

    Lad I took a break from fm so this current patch was the first time I've played this version in a few months but clearly over some patch ( dunno when the last ME changes too place maybe 23.3 or some other patch I missed , there have been a HUGE and dramatic nerf to *direct* free kicks scored. There may still be some still odd header goals from some indirect free kicks but direct free kicks from what I've seen and many other lads noticed also were substantially nerfed. Which statistics should I demonstrate to raise a good argument for this ?

    Here is my bundesliga statistics after 21 games (out of 34..).

    The MAJORITY of the teams have 0 goals from direct free kicks:

    Well my season just finished and I won the bundesliga with hertha berlin but I have 0 direct free kick goals the Whole Season :herman::applause::kriss::brock:
