When raising an issue you've encountered in a press conference it is vitally important to upload a save game from at least a continue before the press conference occurs. This gives our developers the best chance of reproducing the issue described.

For issues found in pre-match press conferences, a save game from a continue before the press conference generates is needed. Note that they generate the day before a match is played.

For issues found in pre-match tunnel interviews, a save game from a continue before you enter the match is ideal.

For issues found in post-post press conferences and post-match tunnel interviews, a save game from before you enter the match is needed along with a rec file. Rec files are automatically generated by the game after a match and allow developers to repeat the game exactly as it played out, this is especially helpful for niche scenarios that may be very difficult to recreate, like an injury time sending off, or a disallowed goal.

    To find your .rec file:

    • As soon as your problem match has finished - navigate to your matches folder then open the automatic folder. C:\Users\user.name\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\matches\automatic
    • You should be able to find your match in here and see a file with a name ending in .rec
    • Save a copy of this file and keep it somewhere safe, since otherwise playing any further matches will overwrite this .rec file. We only store the last match played.
    • Provide this .rec file in your bug report, along with a save game from directly before the match you played. This is key since a .rec file is useless without the save game beforehand.

To upload your save game, please use the SI ownCloud service that is found here

Thanks and hope you enjoy the game,

    Julius
