  • swiss stadiums rental fees

    Hi, I was checking the Swiss league and I noticed the super high rental fee of many stadiums (super league but also challenge league). 

    For example:

    Basel: 6 million euro

    YB: 7.7 million euro

    Luzern: 2 million euro (this could be plausible, given the "bizarre" stadium owner 

    Sion: 2 million euro

    Sankt Gallen: 5.6 million euro

    FCZ & GC: 2.5 million each

    Servette: 2 million

     

    Are these numbers real? Are there some references?

    Some of them (YB, Basel, Sankt Gallen) are extremely high (IMHO), considering the incomes of the stadiums themselves and the league incomes in general.

    Yes, those numbers are too high. But there's a reason for it. Swiss football is highly deficit in real life. However, in FM you can make a lot of money in a short time span easily. The main problem is that we can't display all expenses of clubs. So we use the stadium rent as an equalizer. I'm aware it's not ideal, but otherwise, you'd have 40+ million in the bank after just a few seasons, which is not realistic either. I hope you understand.
