    Coulibaly from Dortmund II has nearly triple the wage of Prince Aning, the second-highest earner of Dortmund II.

    The wage is fairly accurate.

    Soumaïla Coulibaly was actually signed as a 1st team player and hence is on a 1st team player wage, he is only playing for the 2nd team in order to get playing time, because he had a couple of (major) injuries and there are a lot of players in his position in the 1st team.

     

    Also keep in mind that he was signed from PSG, where youngsters historically already earn quite a bit, and when Dortmund signed him, he was regarded as one of the most promising CB talents in Europe, so that's why he was able to command such a relatively high wage.

    Additionally, him having been a Free Transfer also means Dortmund had to pay more in wage to get him to sign for them.
