  • Cant join online games, my online game cant be joined

    We have been playing an online game since FM23 was released.

    We have not had an issue until the update that went in on 9 May 2023.

    Since then friends cant join the online game I have hosted. We have tested the following:

    • Being logged into EPIC
    • Being logged out of EPIC
    • Being logged into FMC as well as out - we have tried a combination of the above
    • We tried to create a new game with V24 DB and the original DB - still couldnt join
    • We tried joining other games - we get mixed results - occasionally can join another game but very patchy - cant identify a root cause
    • We Have tried to set it to allow anyone and use a password
    • We have dropped our firewalls and anti-virus

    It is very frustrating - I do note that we are not the only 1's who seem to be struggling with this issue since 9 May. 

    We are both utilising Steam to play

    Hello, thank you for the very detailed information. 

    We're currently seeing from the Epic Online Services that the development portal is down, we believe this could be the reason users are currently having issues.

    We are in contact with Epic Games to see what is going on. We apologise for the inconvenience.

    Just following up on this query. 

    The development portal according to the epic website is not down. 

    I do note that they have performance issues on P2P Networking. However, we reaching out to Epic they say it is not their issue. 

     

    Any advice?

    Hi, we are continuing to work with Epic to try and get this issue resolved. Epic's P2P Networking is having troubles, we apologise for the inconvenience.

    Just to clear up any confusion, we use the Epic Online Services for all of our servers and online games. (Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store, PlayStation, Xbox etc.)
