The issue I have found is if you edit any player who has a future transfer eg-[here the transfer is set for 1/7/23] 
if you use IGE to send this player on loan then the loan seems to override the transfer which the game removes instantly
NB the same applies in reverse too-
so a player on loan if you set up using the IGE a 'future transfer' [so keep him on loan but he will transfer at a later date] then the result is he gets the loan removed instantly
eg-Henderson at game start is on loan
use IGE set a transfer to palace on 9/6/23
He now is no longer on loan and returns to Man U
