If you go to the individual training page in the training section (NOT the training page on the player profile), if you select a player who is sufficiently trained in the weaker foot that he can't train further, the "Start Developing Weaker Foot" option is grayed out (as it should be). But once you select such a player, if you select any other player, even if they are weak enough on the off foot to train, the option is still grayed out.
For example, in the case of randomly-renamed Seattle in the images here, if I select David Brennan I have the weak foot option, if I then select Joe Ramirez, it grays out, and then if I select David Brennan again, it remains gray. I can still go to his player training page and set it, but I have to leave and come back to the individual training page to reset the behavior (and hope I left the cursor on a player with a weak foot.
