    Danish league clubs asks astronomically high transfer sums for their player "because it's the middle of the season". Can't buy a player from Midtjyland with Man Utd unless I pay over 100 milion pounds

    It's acting as a deterrent, they simply don't want to sell midway through the season under any circumstances. 

    Its a real tactic clubs deploy.
