Game crashes on MacOS after "sim" for 30 min or if been idle over time

Hi, thanks very much for the crash file, I've been able to locate your instance on our internal systems as well. 

It appears that you are currently running Big Sur 11.6.0, and there is 11.6.1 currently available from Apple. Can you please update your macOS? 

I also see that you have a MacMini 8,1, and you are using an external monitor to play the game at 3360x1890 resolution. Could you please provide your Mac System Information file as well for us, it will give us information about the actual monitor used. 

Can you tell us if at any time the screen switched itself off prior to the crash (ie. Screen went to sleep), or entered screen saver mode?

my only option is to update to monterrey and given its brand new OS ive been holding back on that. u suggest I should try that? 

Indeed the crash happens after monitor goes to sleep and the crash messages appears as soon as the monitor turns on. attached mac system info.
