Something seems to bug out for some expired contract players initial salary requests. I have had multiple players request very low salary (120-150k p/a) and 1 year contract and once i bump it to 2 years they request 1+m p/a.
I doubt that having a 2 year contract instead of 1 justifies the x10 times raise
