  • U23 team created midway through save doesn't play with the first team tactic

    I'm doing a save in Portugal and started with a tier 4 team (so there was only the U19 team created at the start of the save). A few years in after reaching the first division my board asked if I wanted a U23 team which I accepted. Fast forward a few years when I'm going more seriously into youth development (as I now have money to buy prospects that don't have room in the first team) I notice that my team is and always has been playing with a different tactic. The U19's play with the correct tactic and I have the same permissions for both. In the U23 squad and tactics panel, the game is showing that there isn't a tactic created for that team, just like when someone starts a new save or takes a new job at a club and there isn't any tactic setup yet.

     

    I've tried to sack the U23 manager and manually input the tactic, taking control of the team, but the issues comes back after the new manager comes in,

    I have also tried to untick all responsibilities from the U23 and pick the tactic from the development centre but it always reverts to No Primary tactic selected.

     

    In an attempt to figure this out I saved on an alternative slot and retired my manager and added a new manager into the team and this fixes the issue. What I assume is happening is the U23 team is waiting for the prompt where I define the tactic for the first time. Since I can't clear all the tactics slots and do that, it will always be waiting to setup the tactics unless I retire my manager, thus losing 6 years worth of accolades, stats and importance in the dressing room.

    I would appreciate an input on this as I'm turning more into the Youth development in this section of the save.

    The fix I found was resigning and adding a new manager (maybe with the editor you can just re add yourself to the team, i don't know). That should reset the tactics and fix the issue. However I don't want to get rid of 5/6 years worth of manager history for this bug. Hope its fixed at some point.
