  • Steam Remote Play prone to soft locks

    I typically stream from my desktop to my laptop, using Steam Remote Play. FM22 and FM23 were highly reliable in this regard, but FM24's early accccess is prone to soft locks after a few minutes of inactivity (i.e not actively clicking the interface outside of matches.) Ending the remote play session and reconnecting solves the problem, but having to do this every time I look at my phone for a bit or speak to someone in the house is going to get old! :)

    Repro:
    Load FM24 via Steam
    Load the same Steam account on another machine in your local network
    Connect to the active FM24 session using Steam Remote Play
    Load up a save and then wait a few minutes
    Observe that the interface cannot be clicked (mouse pointer should still move)
    End & resume the remote play session to resolve

    We'll look to investigate this but it may not be a quick fix for something this technical. Appreciate you raising it nevertheless.
