  • Not being able to control individual training of reserve players in the same way as the first team players

    On Football Manager 2024 Console on PS5 I am unable to control the training of the reserve team players in the same way I control the first team players. I’m submitting this as a bug, because its changed from the last time  I have played Football manager console (which was on FM 23). 

    On the development tab of first team players (as shown in the image) you can fully control any aspect of the individual training. Whereas on the same tab, even when having put reserve team training as the duty of the head coach, I am unable to do the same thing with reserve players. As shown in the image, only the recent progress of the reserve team player is shown. To control the training of reserve players I have to use the action button and control it in chaotic menu, which just doesn’t feel as good. 

    I’m quit unsure if this is a bug, that may have occurred with the recent data update (I’ve played Fm 24 for the first time after that update) or just an intended change from FM 23 Console. If this is a bug, I ask you to please fix it. If it is an intended change from FM 23, I ask you to please rethink the decision of changing the way of individually training reserve team players, because it was definitely a better user experience in FM 23 Console. 

     

    To add, I’m using Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League. The save was created this Friday after the date update.

    @Yasin1905 - This is similar to this issue. As per my comment on that thread, at the moment the only way to do this is "Promoting them to the Senior squad and then marking them as available for reserves".

    @Dan Sheppard Great to know that im not the only one facing this issue. By any chance, could this be fixed with the next update. It’s actually very annoying having to deal with it. I just bought FM 24 console like 10 days ago and if I knew, that this issue existed I wouldn’t have bought it and stayed on FM 23. Please, please fix that.

    As with the other report, it won't be something fixed for '24. Due to the work involved, it would require several changes elsewhere to get it working the way you wish.

    It is however something I've noted with the team ahead of '25 and the feedback around it.

    Good to see that this is a bug I was trying to figure out where I was going wrong. 
     

    I was doing the workaround automatically but at least it makes sense now
