  • Unable to offer designated player contracts

    I may just be unfamiliar with how designated players function in Australian league but I am unable to offer designated player contracts due to wage not going above a certain number when negotiating - I had thought designated players were allowed to be offered increased wages? For example, I cannot sign Winston Reid (who would definitely be a designated player?) on a free transfer as a designated player.

    As Wellington Phoenix and the squad has 0 designated players.

    Any help on this would be appreciated.
