  • Players retiring from international competition just before World Cup/Euros etc – unrealistic

    Mohamed Salah retired from Egypt duty in May 2022 despite Egypt having qualified for the 2022 World Cup in March. And then he retired instead? Ok... What player from a small nation would do this lol.

    Apologies for the delay in responding to you here, but if this particular example, or any subsequent examples appear, we'd need a save just prior to the retirement decision, please. :)
