Feel free to move this to a different forum if needed, since it's not a bug, but a factual error.
I've noticed this in League Two in Indonesia, but this may also be a problem when managing in other geographically large countries (e.g. USA or Russia), hence my posting this issue in this sub-forum. When managing PSPS Riau, a team from halfway up Sumatra, I have found that the the game gives me extremely few options for valid opponents in friendlies, and no access to a pre-season training camp. All possible opponents, aside from the literal handful suggested, consider it too far to travel to play a friendly against me, and my board considers it too far to travel to play a friendly against them. The upshot of this is that I cannot organise a friendly against a team at an equal or greater level than me, because all of those teams are considered to be too far away.
Now clearly there should be some limit on distance for friendlies in the game, but in the case of Indonesia, 1) it is too restrictive, and 2) even relatively small teams seem to use training camps to get around the distance problem.
For examples of it being excessively restrictive, in real life:
-In 2021, PSPS played at home against Semen Padang (also from Sumatra, and PSPS's nearest club of a similar level), even though in game this match is considered too expensive to travel (this should be allowed in-game).
-Pre-pandemic (2018), PSPS played against Persib Bandung on neutral territory https://www-kaskus-co-id.translate.goog/thread/5a506ed692523366028b4573/persib-bandung-akan-beruji-coba-lawan-psps-riau/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp. To my knowledge, there is no way this could be done in the game.
For examples of training camps:
-PSMS (a team in the north of Sumatra) did a tour in East Java this year, playing four games there: https://jambi-tribunnews-com.translate.goog/2022/06/19/psms-medan-dikritik-fans-usai-petik-hasil-buruk-di-laga-uji-coba-jelang-liga-2?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
-Similarly, Semen Padang are doing a tour of Java, playing four friendlies there, right now https://sumbar-suara-com.translate.goog/read/2022/06/22/172301/matangkan-persiapan-liga-2-semen-padang-fc-gelar-uji-coba-lawan-4-tim-di-pulau-jawa?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
-For a non-Java example, PSMS did a short tour of Riau and played PSPS and Tiga Naga in 2021 (https://www-indosport-com.translate.goog/sepakbola/20210913/baru-gabung-dan-belum-latihan-pemain-baru-ini-antar-psms-kalahkan-psps?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp)
As most of the best teams in Indonesia are based in Java, and this seems to be a popular option in real life, I think it would be good if non-Javanese teams had the option for a training camp there, so that they could at least play some friendlies against competitive opposition. I don't know if similar things happen in real life in e.g. Russia with teams from the Russian Far East, or e.g. Perth Glory in Australia, but I would imagine giving them access to a training camp in Moscow/Sydney/equivalent location with lots of teams would have a similar effect.
I appreciate that this seems like quite a petty request, but, as well as it being more accurate to real life, it would actually make a meaningful difference to how fun the game is. Indonesian League Two has a very short season (roughly July to December in the best case scenario) so at least half the year can potentially be taken up by friendlies. Playing endless matches against the same three or four teams, most of whom have entirely greyed-out players, is frankly a bit of a grind, not to mention making it harder to evaluate whether your tactics are remotely effective.
