igglez
Apparently it works really well. Not sure exactly how. http://www.footballmanagerblog.org/2016/01/insanely-speed-up-football-manager-2016.html
Guest
They're are a con, Ed Lambert has previously explained that all these programmes do is unlock more of the text you see when the game is processing & then speeds up the UI to give the appearance of faster processing. Edit: Still trying to find his post, if it helps I'm an ex-SI employee. Thread with comment from Lucas Weatherby about Game Booster
igglez
My friends have tried it and have said processing time has reduced from 30~ to a few seconds. Further reading elsewhere points to it simply being the speedhack CheatEngine, so it forces your CPU to process threads quicker. So in effect it does work, but has potential for Malware. Guest
As I said they are a con & do not speed up processing, they just create an illusion of increased performance. The only way to test is to run the game on holiday for a month with & without but I cannot recommend that as installing any of these programmes is a bad idea, in fact you can get banned from multiplayer games if you have something like cheat engine installed & as you've said the risk of getting some malware as a piggyback is quite high. You asked for an SI response & I have linked you to one, still can't find Ed's post on the subject but it does exist & core performance coding is one of his many areas of expertise.
