When do regens get generated?

If I want to scout new regens, how often or at what dates should I search for them, before the AI snips them?

It happens once a year in each nation with the date varying from nation to nation & then each nation has a 5-10 day date variable.

Also scouts will not generally report newgen players right away as they will not have a reputation high enough to be immediately known to them so the old practice of sending a scout to a nation just before newgen day & look for players under 17 no longer works.

The only way to game the system is to manually check each club or nation then assign scouts to report on specific players, this method is only viable if you've turn off attribute masking as most the base knowledge will be so low that you're a scout will probably have to watch a single player for at least a month to get 100% knowledge by which time the best players are likely to have been signed to pre-contract agreements at their club.
