AI National manager doesn't pick in-form players

do you all experience situations where your players perform extremely well but doesn't even get a look for international games?

I have Charlie Austin & Tom Ince performing incredibly well with Austin with 21 goals in 33 games and Tom Ince with 11 goals 10 assists in 20 games.

but somehow AI Roy Hodgeson calls up Welback and Scott Sinclair whom both have started less than 6 games and i'm in April 2015.

I've seen other nations and the top performer who are not 'big names' are not called up at all. SI might want to improve this aspect of the game as it seems like AI picks players who have high reputation only for national games.
