Limited by Demo?

After purchasing the game, I have been struggling for hours to get the game working for me. I finally downloaded the demo and then ran an activation, which allowed the demo to run for me.

But now, I see that the "New Game" and "Add User" options are grayed out. Is that because I'm using the demo instead of the official game? If so, how do I get the version which allows me to start a "New Game"?

If you have purchased the game, I don't understand why you have downloaded the demo ?!? Also, you don't need to activate the demo, even more confusing. Try uninstalling the demo and reinstalling the purchased game.

I purchased the game electronically. I tried to install the game via steam but had some troubles. By browsing around the help forums, I saw a post that helped me realize that the game wasn't even installed (in program files). So I downloaded the demo, because I don't see any other version available for electronic download.

This is all very frustrating and I've wasted most of the afternoon and evening on something that should be rather simple (it was last time when I purchased FM2008).

I would stick to doing it from within steam. Steam installs the game in a different location to the normal install. I don't know too much else about steam so someone more familiar with it will be able to give you more useful help than I.

I guess once I got the activated, it allowed steam to work.

Ok, now on to building a championship team!!!

Now I notice that player photos and logos are not in the version that steam runs.

Can I copy the photos over from the demo, or is there some other way to get them in the game?
