That wouldn't even run FM2009 i don't think. And £80 is quite expensive?

Thats an AGP card isn't it? If your computer doesn't support Pci-express. Don't bother upgrading it, you can get a much better computer for just a little bit more.

Ok then. Try and find out if your pc supports PCI (not pci express). If it does, get a Nvidia Geforce FX5200. Costs about £35 on www.ebuyer.com.

When i opened my case to install my dvd rewriter i think i noticed a few unused slots but im not sure. i just downloaded cpu-z and it says i have ddr in one slot and my other slot is empty, dont know what im talking about, dont know much about computers.

So you can add another one (has to be the same spec as your current one).

It has to be the same one. You can always take out that chip, and look on the label. It'll tell you what it is.

Yup you could. But your motherboard is probably old aswell. Get some PC-3200 400mhz ram, costs £8.99 on play.com for 512mb.

If your computer supports 400mhz, then it'll say "Actual memory speed= 400mhz"

So it'll be running twice as fast as your current setup .

If not, then it'll say 200mhz. If it does, set it to 200mhz. Just in case.

thanks for that. theres a lil computer shop near me that sells memory and stuff so i will check his prices out. might be a few quid more than play's prices but i can get it there and then. i will have a look inside to see if i have a pci slot and if so might treat myself to a better graphics card. i did hear if your pc was built after 1995 then i should at least have one slot.

Forgot - thats the home edition. Need to purchase the proper version, but don't do that.

Open up the computer, and if you can. Take a picture of the motherboard, or just tell me the Motherboard name.
