International Squad Selection

When picking a national squad from the 'player search' or 'national pool' screens, is there some way of displaying player's club form and stats?

I like playing a quick game as an international team manager every now and then (like when I'm waiting for a new version of the game to be released), but it's pretty aggravating only being able to sort players by their international stats - I'm not Steve McLaren, I don't want to just pick a squad based on who was in it last time. I want the players to be there on merit and I'm bound to miss players who deserve to be in the squad because there's no easy way that I can find of seeing their form for their clubs.

The more I think about it, the more I think that there must be a way of doing this, and that I'm just being stupid and missing it. Can anyone help?
