The 'Well known young players retiring' thread

This has been mentioned a few times and I'm wondering just how common it is now. So basically, just post a the name of the player who has retired, his age, current club and how good overall they are as well as any reason that they may have retired so young. You may also include some rambling about how much you hate this or how its actually a Communist plot or whatever people blame their problems on these days, but I'm not sure how the mods will take it.

Anyhow, to get us started:

Robert Green, 33 Years old, was England's first choice at the time, did his ACL and on his information screen he is apparently "determined to overcome his injury". Although, he won't retire until the end of the season.
