Impale
Go to the game in Steam. Right click it and select Properties. Go to the local files tab and select Verify Integrity of Game Files. May work, may not. Report back and let me know.

Impale
Okay. Try this if you are on Windows Vista/7. Go to Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/common/Football Manager 2012. Find fm.exe, right click it. Go to properties, then the compatibility tab. Tick the box that says run as administrator. Then run the game from that icon. (fm.exe) If you have windows xp, go to the folder anyway (dont do the compatibility stuff), but try running it from that icon anyway.

Impale
Try this. Completely exit from the Steam client. (Just clicking the x in the corner wont close it, go to Steam - Exit in the top left hand corner of the Steam UI) Go to '/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam' of wherever your files are on a mac. Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob. Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated. Test the issue once more. Impale
One last thing. Then I'm well and truly stumped. Exit Steam. Navigate to your SteamApps folder (~/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/) and delete your sourceinitosx.gcf file. Restart Steam and test the issue.
