Cycstorm Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 Whenever I play FM I always seem to end up with a huge chunk of my finances gobbled up each year on the day of contract renewals for existing squad members. By the time I am done negotiating, especially if I have four or five or more players I want to resign, I am typically anywhere between 6 and 10 million quid worse off due to signing bonuses. Do they demand less of a bonus if they are not in the final year of their contract? Should I start negotiating sooner or just cap bonuses and hold firm and risk an unhappy squad?
