Stirling
I'm trying to renew the contract of a guy in my team. He's one of my most valuable players. He asked for a new contract a while back and I think I said that he should prove that he deserves one. Basically.... i forgot to renew and then he handed in a transfer request. His contract is up at the end of the season but now he won't enter into any discussions with me. Pretty annoying and unrealistic but there you go. My question is... should I just try and sell him for whatever I can get or is there a chance that he'll change and discuss terms?
Ninja Monkey
Why is it unrealistic? You promised him something and you didn't do it, happens in real life. When Blackpool were promoted from League one to the Championship the board/manager promised to start contract talks with Keigan Parker as soon as they got back from the off season holiday, but the didn't start till after Christmas and he refused to even talk to them. He then left on a free and went down hill ever since
