xSEARLEYx
There are over 30,000 I imagine but not all are available at one time. I think marc said something about expanding it again. Not sure.
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted March 29, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted March 29, 2011 The iPhone game uses a database which is derived from the PC versions database (extracted so to speak). What we did was create a custom version of FM PC where when you start a game it exports the database selected in the format required for FMH. (and Bantam is correct its over 30,000 in total - I'll try and rummage out the exact figures at some point) In the January transfer update for FMHi 2011 there are an additional 10% of players active when you run multiple leagues - to give a comparison to our past products when you start a game on average you'll find it contains more players than CM3 did on PC with the same leagues running on a Normal database size (which shows just how much handheld devices have come along in recent years). PS - With regards to 'database updates' normally we aim to do them for the transfer 'windows', for instance we launched FMHi 2011 in December and then released an update to allow people to select between the 'original' database or one containing the January transfer update ... that sort of thing. I don't expect any further transfer updates to be released for FMHi 2011 but there will be at least a couple more updates which will contain new features and gameplay fixes (in fact one should be available in the near future all being well). All such updates are free.
Gawii
Thanks Guys! Just wondering! Its good to get that comparison in with the past PC versions too. Not bad for a portable game!
