This ever happened to you?

Am managing Newcastle 3rd season (I know weak but works been crazy ha) finished 6th, 2nd and now top of the league Joey Barton was due his contract and was expecting £115,000 obviously I said no chance offered him £50k exactly £10k more than he was on anyway, he rejected then left the club on a free transfer to Hibs and now hes on £5k a week with them :confused: he must of hated me that much then ha

Maybe take a look on the editor and see if Newcastle are among his disliked clubs of which there are probably many or if he is among Newcastles disliked personnel. Also any arguments with you could affect it but I had the same thing with Owen Hargreaves, had a good season 1 then wanted massive wages so I let him go and he ended up on less money at Fiorentina, albeit that's a lot better than Hibs.
