Scout doesn't seem to want to leave...

Hi everyone, Happy New Year and all that jazz!

I have a problem that I thought I would be able to ignore but its become a pain in the butt.

I obtained a player, a fella named Luke Oliver who played for me for a couple of years then grew older, so I pushed to become a scout. He agreed to start his scouting career and in his last year as a player became a strange hybrid defender/scout. Eventually I got the message that he was going to hang up his boots as a player but for some reason wouldn't sign a new contract. Eventually his contract ran out and he left the club. Well... I thought he did at least...

Instead he's stayed behind in my staff list, and he's a free agent. He still won't sign a contract with me and he's still giving me advice on who to scout, which I find annoying as when I follow his advice and click "scout" he doesn't send reports back at all.

Is there a way to retire him/ force him out/ tell him to bugger off? I'm not sure if other teams can even hire him since he's still "attached" to me.

Weird, sounds like a bug to me. I'd persist with trying to sign him though, has got good scouting stats!
