apapatheo
Hi guys I have just left AEK Athens after 3 years in charge after Feyenoord offered me the chance to become their manager. Feyenoord are in a pretty bad shape at the moment, mid-table after a long run of defeats. I have come in and our defence has been terrible no matter what I try, what would you suggest formation and tactic wise to get us through the to the end of the season without being dragged into a relegation battle which is what is happening at the moment? Stemlfc65
If the defenders are good in the air, try a narrow formation so that the opposition will try to get around the side. Don't let your full backs close down too much as they'll be torn apart by fast wingers. The aerial dominance of your center backs should be good enough to cover some early crosses. Every team is only as good as your defence. Try and control the game by packing the midfield. This is what I do when I'm steadying a sinking ship.
