every single match that I have seems to have 7 or 8 players with low or very low morale. Is there a way to improve their morale and score in more matches

If morale is low, just encourage them initially. If the team still goes on losing sympathize with them. Moreover, Boost the player morale by saying positive things about them in Media and private, mind it the talk are true or you will further alienate them.. Once the Team starts winning the morale will crop back....

winning games is the best way to boost the morale.

so how do you stop the rot and my players are putting their points across to the media. It's SO annoying that the players are angry at me

One question though is there a possible way to sell players as they won't sell to other clubs?

None... you can't sell and buy as you want.... give them short contract, so that you don't hv to worry much and never try 2 mutually terminate contract with a player who is against you.
