Rupal
Apologies if this one has been mentioned before. I just wonder why the Boards of clubs seem to decide that if you want to sign someone as a player he merits a higher wage than if he's hired as a player-coach? Exactly the same player, with exactly the same prospective squad status should be paid LESS if he gives some coaching help??? There may be some perfectly good reason for this but it does seem very silly at first glance. It can be most frustrating trying to manage LLM style when you find that a player-coach wants £75 per week and the Board will only allow you to offer £50 although they would be prepared to allow £90 if you just signed him as a player! Can anyone offer a good reason for this apparent illogicality?
