Boavista = Overconfidence. Any help? + Training players to be dual footed

Recommended Posts

As always, I started in the lowest league of a country, at a club that should be bigger than it is (e.g. Oxford or York). In this game, as with FM10, I started one with Boavista in the Portuguese Second Division - Central.

However, my players are always cocky, even in a friendly against Real Madrid, one week after being beaten 0-6 by Torino. It seems uncureable. I had this issue in FM10, I drew every match except the play-off final thingy from March until the end of the season.

Any ideas?

Also, can players be trained to go from say,

Right foot: V. Strong

Left foot: Weak

to being either footed?

Thanks.

Hi, I have the same over confidence issues at the moment as Liverpool, although we are doing ok so that could explain it.

People have suggested always expecting win (I do - doesn't seem to have an effect) and also to play down your chances in Press Conferences (say it will be a hard game etc).

Have not tried the idea about the press conferences but might be worth a shot.

Not sure if changing team talk to "encourage" might work as well.

I thing I will also try is to be less pleased i I beat a "smaller" team 1-0 at home say, maybe that will wake em up.

Not sure if you can train a player to use another foot.
