FM11 - Forcing it to use a certain skin...

I'm having trouble. I applied a skin and it's obviously gone wrong. A lot of the buttons have disappeared so I can't get to the 'Display and Sound' preferences and change it back.

I used to force it by adding --reset_preferences=skin to the desktop icon, but it doesn't work as it's an 'Internet Shortcut'. I installed via Steam.

I want to force it back into using the base skin for the new Dark skin that came with the patch.

Done it! This is how to do it. Navigate here:-

Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\settings

Inside that folder will be a list of xml files. Scroll down until you find the 'skin.xml' file and open this with notepad and you will see something like this:

<record>

<string id="valu" value="nameofskinhere"/>

</record>

Just input the name of your skin there, save and FM will load up with that skin.
