Lost FM 2010 DVD

I bought my son FM2010 and he used to play it with the DVD in the computer. To cut a long story short the DVD has been lost. We still have the box and the booklet with the steam code on the back. Can we install the game via steam.

yes but it will download the game off steam before you can play it and then all you do then is just load the save games and other stuff from the mydocuments folder
