Starting Date - what happen to the idle players's age?

So i started a new game today, i included Brazil League in my Game alongside Spain, Italy, Germany, Uruguay, France, Netherlands and England

so as you all know, most of the Europe League there have a Start Game Date on 2009 July

but i use the Brazil start date which is 2008 December

and i play in the Uruguay league which starts also on July 2009

now since i start on 2008 December, i had to wait until July 2009 before all the league starts

which means all the players except in Brazil, are idle for almost half a year without doing anything,

my question is, do their age still increasing while doing nothing? or the aging starts on July 2009?

I'm pretty sure age is based on date of birth so it will increase

All the stats for european leagues for the period December 2008 to July 2009 are based on real-life statistics, so the players are not in fact idle they are playing games and tournaments you cannot see, as they are already played (and also because SI would have to buy the rights to represent them as they happen, and then have a hellish time coding it). So as Praczy says the age does increase.
