Why does CPU automatically sign youngsters??

Why does the CPU automatically sign some youngsters to a new contract without you doing it manually? It only happens with youngsters......everyone else on the team I have the option to sign him to a new contract?

There isn't an option to make sure I am the only to sign there young players.

Youngsters who are currently in your U18 team?

You could have the 'handle player contracts' in your U18 preferences ticked. Untick it.

Or they could have already signed pre-contracts, which automatically make them sign a contract with their club when they turn 17. If they've already signed it, you can't do anything about this one.
