PLaying offline

I have FM installed on Laptop and sometimes when i try and play it offline it comes with an error trying connect to Steam network, why would it do this when i have requested it to play offline?

Any help in stopping this happening?

You need to set steam to offline mode(do this when you are online), if you want to play offline

But it gives me an option to play offline when it can't connect to steam so i choose that and most time it works but now and again it don't.

Ive wondered if you install with steam and the internet goes down does that mean you cant play FM or do you just have to stick the disc in.

Well i play it at work in offline and because it can't connect to the steam network it gives me the option to play offline and most times it work but now and again it doesn't and says it can't connect to steam network but i don't know why it trys to when i select offline. I don't have CD on me and never needed it since the install.

Well notice on my PC at home steam just done client update and think this why i get the issue. There should be a way it still connects and waits to do the update till back online.

Well just been on steam website and look like this what i need to do maybe because there client update that why it being funny, i will have update this later and remember to choose offline option. Then just have see if get the issue next time they do a client update.
