Eddybaby
Hi, I haven't played FM for a couple of years so I have forgotten what effect the end of season tick has on players, mainly with respect to selling them. I'm Newcastle and am going to finish the 1st season pretty soon with most players I'm hoping to get rid of (due to wage concerns!) having played a decent number of games in the and getting about a 7 on average. I know, obviously, that players at premiership clubs cost more than players at championship clubs, and my question is this: Does a player's value/attractiveness to clubs jump when the season ticks over and Newcastle are recognised as being in the premiership, or is this a progressive thing? The reason I ask is that I need to get rid of a few players, but many of them have a +25% wages promotion clause and they're on massive wages already (so I'd imagine it'd be easier to sell them in the 1st season). For example, who's going to sign Alan Smith (even for free) if he wants an increase on his soon to be £62,500 per week wage?
Cadijk van Kaarhandel
I don't think the differences in value would be huge. In Yee Olde Versions of the game I do remember values almost doubling overnight if you got promoted, but these days there's really not a huge difference. A.W rovers til i die
i think its more of a progressive increase/decrease of value throughout the season depending on how a player/your team is doing
Eddybaby
I guess I'll try to shift them before the start of the next season then!
