Chrism3072
Very impressed with FM10 so far! Four things that are mildly annoying so far are- 1. Seem to hit post from long range around 3-4 times per game, surely too high 2. When attacking corners, players instructed to stay back tend to hover over the half way line and the opposition can very quickly counter 3. Goalkeepers are possibly a little too good 4. Player and ball speed appear ever so slightly too quick Hopefully these minor things can be tweaked for 10.2! Cheers
mseel82
With regard to the corners a little tip for you: In your tactics have 3 players selected as back (normally 2 full backs and a defensive midfielder due to the pace of the full backs and the tackling of a more defesive midfielder) then have 1 player (good long shots) lurk outside the area and then every one else in the area (attack from deep and challenge keeper). By doing this if your corner breaks down you have 2 lines of defence to stop the opposition from counter attacking with any great speed. You have your "lurk outside the area" player to stop players running with the ball outside the area and can hold up any instant attacks. Then you have your 3 players by the halfway line. 2 of which will need lots of pace and this counters any opposition pace. Then your more defensive midfielder (back with the fullbacks) will sit tight around the centre circle and stop players running with the ball through the middle of the pitch and will allow defenders to get back into position. I've messed around loads and got great set pieces by using these tactics. By the way i study lots of football and this is how Arsenal attack with corners. Normally Clichy and Sagna stay back for pace and Alex Song sits around the centre circle. Have a mess with the tactics and you'll find a way to counter a counter! Maidel
1) Turn long shots down, your players arent suited to taking them which is why they are missing a lot. 2) You are picking the wrong players to stay back - in RL most players do hover around the halfway line - the players that are staying back arent fast enough or good enough tacklers 3) Hard to tell 4) Turn the game speed down
