First impressions of the match engine?

First let me say that this is NOT a criticism of any sort. I've loved CM(when Si made it) and FM ever since I played CM 96/97 with my uncle when I was about 8-9. I just wanted to say what I feel about the match engine after the first 2 matches I have played on FM2010.

It is by no means bad, it's a decent match engine but there are quite a number of things that don't feel 'right' to me. The way the players move and react is pretty unrealistic, they seem to be slow at bringing the ball down and also don't seem to pick out the obvious pass at times. They also seem to have pretty slow reaction times, maybe I am wrong here, that is just the way I have seen it so far.

I never played FM2009, I was loving FM2007 too much to change until now, so I cannot comment on how different this match engine is to FM2009. Compared to FM2007 I feel it is not as good though.

Every other aspect of the game compared to FM2007 though... BETTER!

Anyone else got any first impressions of the match engine?

To be blunt...i think it's a massive improvement from 09.

I can't say anything negative about the match engine after now playing for well a very long time !

Its like chalk and cheese, its more playable and is begining to look the part, dont forget guys this is a management sim, not pro evo or fifa. So to me the graphics do the job, not saying i woundnt want fifa style graphics, but this does the job

Also, the ME seems way smoother and the graphics are cleared up from the jerkiness in the demo version. Woo-hoo!

Seems like the ME is better than 2009 then which is good news. Like I mentioned in my first post, last FM I played was 2007 so I am comparing it to that.
